After acquiring a rusty frame and engine parts from my friend, Bobby "wheelstand" Spann, I decided to build a street bike. It took five years of collecting parts and goodies, I've built this 1976 Triumph T140V Street Bike. There was alot of fabricating and custom work involved, but I think it was worth it! I entered the bike, just as it is (without paint), in a recent bike show and ended up with 2nd place! Here's a little information...

10.0:1.0 compression
1mm over stainless intake and exhaust valves
R&D Springs and Titanium retainers
Ported head
Custom intakes, bored to 33-1/2mm Amal concentrics
Polished and balanced rods and crank
Q Cams, degreed in same as short TT track dimensions
Narrowed, drilled and beveled timing gears
Barnett Kevlar trick clutch and springs
BSA 4-spring inner hub
Stainless steel 2:1 custom exhaust and hand-made core, dimensions for a torquer-type motor

Steering head cut and swing arm pivot moved, rear frame loop narrowed
Frame completely braced
Shock mounts moved so all chassis measurements, wheel base, rake and trail, swing arm length and crankshaft to front axle, are the same as a 1995 GSXR750

38mm Kawasaki ZX6 forks, fork brace combination fender mount, and Telefix bars
Progressive Suspension 13 Series springs and rear shocks, 5-1/2" travel front & rear

Wheels and Brakes
Kennedy hubs
Kosman rear disc
Two piston Honda VFR1000R front and rear brake calipers
1998 320mm full floating GSXR front disc
Yamaha YZF front, and GSXR rear master cylinder
WM3 Front and WM5.5 Rear Borrani's

Body Work
1972 BSA OIF gas tank
Real XR750 seat
Handmade front fender

Boyer Brandson digital ignition
Sebring power box
RM19 stator
Andrews dual lead coil with custom mount
1-1/2 amp alarm battery, used only for 1st kick starting
GS750 quartz 50/100 watt headlight
Custom rear sets
Reversed shifting pattern
All brackets, pegs, tach mount, brake and pipe hangers made from billet aluminum

Yes, it's fast and handles, has brakes and lights (that work!)

Thanks for looking!
